how do you get rid of cigarette burns in carpet?
I have burns in my landlords carpet from cigarettes. How can I remove the burns short of replacing the carpet?
You can't actually get rid of the burns. The carpet where it is burned no longer exists, it's not like taking out a stain.
What you could try is to find a remote spot of matching carpet, a closet or something, a place where it won't be noticed if you take a little sample of carpet. Cut out the area around the burn, an inch by inch section or so, and also cut a piece from the closet that is the exact same size. Replace the burnt piece with the closet piece. Some strong glue should hold it in place.
If that doesn't work, I'm out of ideas. That has worked for me though. Good luck.
How to prevent or reduce the darkness of bruises?
I am fair skinned and bruise easily and have one on my leg that is purplish-black and would like to know if there could be a lotion or other way to reduce the darkness of bruises? Also prevention since I thought maybe eatting a certain diet or taking vitamins would reduce getting bruises.

You may want to increase your iron intake, as you may be anemic. You can become anemic at any time in your life, and it can be treated successfully. I would visit a doctor, or even an RN/Nurse Practitioner.

How to get rid of infected bug bites?
All summer, I've had dozens of bug bites (i think) all over my legs. They aren't anywhere else, just here, and they seem to easily become infected. It might be because I have horses and my barn/pasture is right next to a creek. I usually am in shorts when I go down there. I've taken antibiotics once, but it didn't make much difference. I also traveled to the UK and Europe in June, and the bug bites (or whatever they are) started appearing just a few weeks before we left. If anyone knows of any remedies or guidance to get rid of these suckers, I would appreciate it. Thanks!
corrections…**i really don't think its from bed bugs, the bites come from the pasture because I am the only one down there, and the only one that has bites, and i wash my sheets once a week. also, the bites came before the trip. thanks
actually it sounds like chiggers. I get them when the pasture hasn't been cut ..I have horses too. use an antibiotic ointment, on the ones you have that are infected and on new "bites" put a small drop of clear nail polish on them it will kill the chigger and it won't fester.Spray yourself down with "OFF", or another bug repellent that contains DEET. before going in your pasture. Its also a good idea to wear jeans when you are around the horse pasture and barn. It will help keep chiggers and ticks off of your legs.
i just got stung by a bee or a wasp how long does it take to feel allergic reactions?
I've been stung before when i was really young and did'nt have any allergic reactions. I got stung about 10 minutes ago and dont feel anything unusual excpet for the fact it hurts around the area. Im not allergic to many things and i dont think i get allergic reactions from bug bites. Im curious the time frame when reactions occur.

Is the track event Long Jump prone to ankle sprains?
i am in track and want to do the Long Jump event. I severely sprained my ankle a year or two ago and it has definetely healed. My ankle does seem weak soemtimes but i alwasy wear a ankle brace at practices. I sprained it on a attempt at hurdles. I want to know if it is easy to sprain your ankle on the Long Jump and how strong the impact is and etc–or are ankled sprains the most common for hurdles? Which sports=sprains?

Scrapes down the center of a Hull a common thing?
Looking at buying my 1st boat for offshore fishing which has scrapes down the center bottom of the deep-vee hull. It's a 1998 Bayliner Trophy that's been used in saltwater. Scrapes have been covered by some type of gelcoat repair substrate/paint. My assumption is that it's probably normal wear and tear and not anything that I should worry about. I'm probably bound to run into shallow water sand and small rocks at some point in time. By visual inspection It does not look like it's hit anything at high speed that may have crushed or cracked the hull and i think these hulls are quite thick.
As long as she don't take water it will be fine. Suggest installing a kellguard for those future mishaps. I think Trojan builds Bay liner now, a lot better product than years ago for those who have not been informed. Happy boating and catch some fish !…."0.0125" hull thickness." As long as the price is right it should make a good first time boat to learn something in.
How can I prevent my cycle tyres from getting punctures?
Are there any such thing as anti puncture tyres? Or is it possible to do something that will minimise the risk of getting a puncture?
There are self sealing tyres, but they still won't stop really big punctures, and will still go down eventually

Ignore solid tyre suggestions, unless your bike has suspension you will get a horrible ride.
Also, I wouldn't put gel in as a preventative measure, but do carry a foam repair spray with you just in case you do get a puncture. That will get you home so you can fix it properly, and is easier to clean out of the innertube/tyre.
How does anyone in this country get free medical care?
I'm a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom and I dont get medical care. Someone please tell me how illegals get medical care because I want in on this program. The only health care I get is through Planned Parenthood, and you better believe I pay for it.
I am not joking. I am sitting here in my BDUs right now, and I have no health insurance. Tricare does not provide for the Guard.
Well you see, I have this job in which I put on a military uniform every day and I have to take physical training tests and qualify with an M16 so I can shoot back at whoever shoots at me, and there is no health insurance in my benefits package. So where do I get free medical care?

How do I cure lacerations?
I'm not even sure that's the right term, but they're inside my mouth, if that's it, well I've had it for about 2 days and it gets worse by the minute, any help would be great.

rinse with warm salt water, it helps with the healing and pain, if it persists, you should see the doctor.
