Either it was James Frey, or someone else, but I remember that there was someone who wrote a memoir but it wasn’t true and he was diagnosed with some sort of mental illness, or he claimed to have it. What was it?

Can you receive bone fractures from Osteo Arthritis?

I have osteoarthritis and has undergone bi-lateral total hip replacements. I was at a follow-up appointment with my doctor and was complaining about pain in my right ankle and swelling of it. I was experiencing this trouble way before the surgeries and my doctor had it x-rayed and it shows old and new fractures.

Fractures may be a result of osteoporosis, not osteoarthritis. OA is a disease of the joints (specifically of the cartilage that lines the joints). It is not a bone disease although the wearing and thinning of cartilage can cause bone deformity, osteophytes, bone cysts around the joint.

Osteoporosis is a disease of the bones, causing them to become more porous, less dense, thus weaker, with a propensity to fracture easily.

Have any of your doctors suggested a bone density test?

Where do i buy Medium sized first aid kit at a lower price?

Where in NYC can I find this kind of store.
I visited the American Red Cross store and they sell things kinda expensive.

Make your own; just get the stuff at the Dollar Store and put it in a shoebox. Think of anything that could happen and buy the stuff you would need to take care of it .
Band Aids; Peroxide; Alchohol; Liquid Band Aids. Ear Drops. Nose Drops; Cotton balls; Guaze bandages; Adhesive tape; and an Ace Bandage. and BTW always keeps nail polish remover on hand if you tend to use Super Glue.

Survey:Do you think that Everybody should be forced to learn Firstaid?

What photographer focuses on burns and scarring on people?

There is a female photographer that manipulates photos of people to make them look like they have burns and scars on them. The only problem is that i’ve completely forgotten her name and can’t seem to find her anywhere on the internet – can anyone help? Sorry I can’t give any more information!

Why would you want a photog to add scars in post production to a picture?

How to cover up bruises on your face?

So I got hit with a freezer door at work night before last and now I have 3 bruises on my face and a swollen/black eye.

How can I make the bruises and the eye less noticeable?

-Thanks!

Do NOT, under any circumstances, use a yellow concealer on blue. Yellow DOES NOT "cancel out" the blue. All it will do is make the blue look green. If you want to get rid of bruises (or even dark circles under eyes) use a salmon colored concealer. The salmon color is more of a natural color and will cancel out any blues. Take a look at a color wheel showing the colors of a color spectrum. Blue is opposite of orange, not yellow. Also, make sure the concealer is one to two shades lighter than your foundation.

In the old days, they would always get into fights and what not. If they broke bones, how, if they could or did, would they fix them?

Pulled them back into place and then tied a stick on them. All of this was done without pain killers. Most people passed out when getting the bone put back into place.

How to treat ant bites on my hamster?

Our little hamster has some bites on his shoulder, side and nose. The hair is missing in clumps at the bite sites. We've had a problem with ants getting into the food dish before. I think they got ahold of our hamster. The bites aren't bleeding, but you can see the dried blood. How can I treat him? He's scratching alot, which also makes me think they are ant bites. Can I give the hamster benedryl? What can I do to make him feel better and help him heal?
Thanks for your help and suggestions!

No benadryl for the hamster. Why do you seem so sure that these are ant bites? How would ants get to the hamster. Whatever the irritation is, I think you should clean the area and get some hotspot lotion from the pet store. Dilute it with some water (use 1/2 of the lotion and 1/2 water) and put on the area. This should help with the itching. Then keep watch of the area. May take a couple days to get better.

Is there a way to know about allergic reactions to ink?

Is there any way to know of an allergic reaction to ink before getting tattooed.

just a fear that when I get my chest piece that I'll oddly enough be allergic to the red, which would suck since its the only color other than black on there, and since red has the most known allergic reactions.

Well you can to the doctor and ask for an alergey test. Or have your tattoo artist do a small 'patch test' to see if you are allergic.
