How long does an allergic reaction that causes difficulty in breathing generally continue to cause breathing troubles before it lets up?

Without treatment, an allergic reaction causing breathing difficulty could kill you. If you experience this seek medical help immediately. Future exposures could be worse. With proper treatment, anywhere from minutes to hours to lingering problems for days. Treatment is the key!
Good Luck, God Bless!

  2. Its different for different allegens, and the person allergic. If you are having one, get immediate attention. I nearly died from one.

  4. If the allergic "trigger" is removed from your exposure, it could go away in minutes if you are lucky.

If you ingest the trigger, like eating peanuts when allergic to them, it could kill you.

    So no easy answer.
