Are some people more suseptible to fleas or bed bug bites than others?

My girlfriend gets some sort of bites all over and I don't get any. I am wondering if there is a reason that I don't get bit, but she gets bites all over.

yeah its the same way with my husband and me. we recently had a horror movie style flea infestation at our house. i had no bites but he looked like he had leprosy, all covered in itchy scabs and bumps and stuff. ha ha. also mosquitoes hardly bite me, i guess insects just find me unpleasant :]

    4. Yes. Everybody reacts differently, but the majority of a reaction is to chemicals in the saliva of the biter. I have sensitive skin from my mother, and will show a stronger reaction than my father.
    When I had scabies and came back to the states I gave it to my mother, my little sister, and both my grandparents. My father didn't notice a thing, and that was with both my being around and sleeping in the same bed with my mother. Ahh, bad mental image. I'll stop talking now.
