My friend underwent 12% burns in a kitchen accident. How to minimize the burn marks?
My friend underwent 12% burns in a kitchen accident. The wounds are healed now. Pink colored new skin has also come. But what can be done to minimize the burn marks on the skin? He is currently using Coconut oil for this.

there is a burn cream that is available over the counter I would try that to prevent the scars that comes with getting a burn.

Keep the skin moist at all times with antibiotic ointment and never expose it to the sun. (Antibodies and circulation can travel more easily through moist skin, allowing healing, and better preventing any scarring.) Silicon sheets can also be used. These are available over-the-counter and can be found adjacent to the bandages. Use according to the directions. It is better to use antibioitic ointment than any type of oil.
