I love the descriptions for stuff these people use! We get their mail catalog and use it for reading entertainment. Check the site and you'll see what I mean.

Can a college tell your employer that financial aid covered all your classes, books supplies etc?
I had a efc of zero going under my mom’s income so i don’t have anything to pay for college this semester… I also have tuition reimbursement.. The thing is Can i still submit my grades and cost of classes and get the money back or will the college let my employer know financial aid covered it?
No the college can't tell your employer anything. Only you can do that. If you tell them, then you tell them. If you show them something on a piece of paper that grants paid for your tuition, then you are telling them… not the school.
When you get a copy of your bill from the school, be sure to get what you need…. which is not necessarily what they hand you. If your financial aid summary is also listed on the bill, ask that they remove it or print an alternative statement with this private info removed.
Be aware, many employer policies can be very specific. Some may say that you have to disclose this information to get any benefits at all. Read what it says carefully (and understand it) before deciding to go to school under a tuition "reimbursement" policy.
What supplies should I include in my Grooming and first aid list?
I just got the shock of my life when my Father finally let me free lease this amazing Quarter Horse! After I started to calm down, I realized I’ll need a list of things to buy from the Tack shop. Now don’t get me wrong, I have been preparing for this and know what to include in a grooming kit, but I’m afraid I might be forgetting something.
So, basically, just to make sure I’ll be getting everything I was wondering if anyone had a list of supplies I will need for my Grooming and First Aid kits?
Thanks!
Katie

How do I get financial aid for living expenses and supplies, not tuition?
I am going to a small private couture school abroad and US financial aid does not work with that school. My tuition is being paid for by the school but I still need financial aid to afford the numerous supplies that I am going to need as well as daily living expenses. Are there any student loans for people in my position?
there are loans but you're going to need to find them. Banks are going to be your best bet. Go and apply. You may need a cosigner but you can get them. You may also want to try

Should all countries be required to keep a minimum stock of distaster aid relief supplies?
Food, water, medical supplies etc. boxed up, ready to go.
Then if there is a disaster, the aid can be transported almost immediately, starting with the neighboring countries first.
instead of trying to fly insignificant amounts of aid half-way round the planet

There are many causes behind the world food crisis, but one chief villain: World Bank head, Robert Zoellick
By Raj Patel
16/04/08 "The Guardian" — – For anyone who understands the current food crisis, it is hard to listen to the head of the World Bank, Robert Zoellick, without gagging. Earlier this week, Zoellick waxed apocalyptic about the consequences of the global surge in prices, arguing that free trade had become a humanitarian necessity, to ensure that poor people had enough to eat. The current wave of food riots has already claimed the prime minister of Haiti, and there have been protests around the world, from Mexico, to Egypt, to India. The reason for the price rise is perfect storm of high oil prices, an increasing demand for meat in developing countries, poor harvests, population growth, financial speculation and biofuels. But
prices have fluctuated before. The reason we're seeing such misery as a result of this particular spike has everything to do with Zoellick and his friends. Before he replaced Paul Wolfowitz at the World Bank, Zoellick was
the US trade representative, their man at the World Trade Organisation. While there, he won a reputation as a tough and uileful negotiator, savvy with details and pushy with the neoconservative economic agenda: a technocrat with a knuckleduster. His mission was to accelerate two decades of trade liberalisation in key strategic commodities for the United States, among them agriculture. Practically, this meant the removal of developing countries' ability to stockpile grain (food mountains interfere with the market), to create tariff barriers (ditto), and to support farmers (they ought to be able to compete on their own). This Zoellick did often, and enthusiastically. Without agricultural support policies, though, there's no buffer between the price shocks and the bellies of the poorest people on earth. No option to support sustainable smaller-scale farmers, because they've been driven off their land by cheap EU and US imports. No option to dip into grain reserves because they've been
sold off to service debt. No way of increasing the income of the poorest, because social programmes have been cut to the bone. The reason that today's price increases hurt the poor so much is that all protection from price shocks has been flayed away, by organisations such as the International Monetary Fund, the World Trade Organisation and the World Bank.

Deep backwoods hike first aid kit supplies. How to obtain?
My husband and two of his friends are going on a hiking trip and will be liven off the land. They will be out of contact of everyone with no cell reception "maybe HAM radio reception" for about one month deep in mountain country. We have a first aid kit but their are things they would like to add and where informed that they needed to complete a few forms to be able to get the items. I can not find what forms or any other answers on how to obtain the supplies they would like to take.
Supplies include
Penicillin
Novacaine
snake bit vaccine "rattle snake and copper head"
Pain killer of some short. Hydrocodone, Peracet ect.
They need these due to if anything thing happens and they can get a hold of a rangers station. By the time they got to them it would be to late.
Does anyone know how they can obtain these items?
Do not answer stock pile them or save your old prescriptions for that may work for a few items but not all of them plus that is the wrong way of doing it.
Check with REI. They are an outdoor sports supply store and have a large selection of first-aid kits from the simple to the expeditionary level. Others are Campmore and Sierra Trading Post. These two are discounters. They carry a large assortment, maybe even more than REI. You will need to get a prescription from your doctor for the antibiotics. Rather than penicillin (too many bacteria are resistant) I would suggest Keflex (for skin and superficial infections) It will cover many chest and respiratory infections, as well. Your doctor can prescribe topical Lidocaine for pain. Vicodin is also good for pain. I don't know if you can get snake bite antitoxins – but you can try. (They have to be kept refrigerated or they will deteriorate.) And finally, make sure that they have a good water purification system. And have them file a trip ticket with the Ranger Station with their planned itinerary. That way, if they are late, a search party can be dispatched.
