Question on opening up my own family daycare?
Do I have to give medications to the children? I live in Ct. If the children are on some kind of medication, do I have to be licensed for that or is that part of my FirstAid license? Sorry, but I did the First Aid class like a year and a half ago and forgotten whether my license makes it so I could give out meds. Also, what is the pay rate per child? I tried calling local family daycares to find out, but no luck. Thanks so much.
you need a child care license to run an in home day care you only give antibiotics no fever medicine you cant keep a sick child in your home thats a big no no. i have run an in home child care i didnt give any meds. i only kept one child at a time in addition to my own child. if you take all the classes to get your child care license then you will get these answers

Fish Firstaid?
Ok this evening i got home from work and one of my goldfish had got himself trapped inside this log i have in the tank. I have no idea how long he had been stuck upside down. Well atfirst i thought he was dead, i managed to flush him out of the log and i still thought he was dead as he was lifeless. I put some water in the sink and pick his lifeless body up and put him in the water. I gently moved him around the sink through the water and slowly it seemed to revive him. Tonight i have put him in a tank on his own to recover, he may or may not make it i dont know?
Have any of you preformed first aid or some kind of life rescue on a fish?
What did you do and did it work?
Ps, i have now removed this log and thrown it away.
Also he currently appears to be swimming fine now. I know that stress can kill fish so hoping he will be ok.
I have added to the water for this fish some stuff thats designed to minimise stress. It says it helps out a stressed fish.
well i have a goldfish pond out side and the first year i put the fish in , one of my favorit butterfly coi jumped out, he was dead , dried up and scales were burned from laying in the sun, i picked him up and put him in the pond . he was very stiff, i bent him back and forth until he seemed to loosen up, then i looked him in the eyes and i saw life in him , but his lips were stuck shut from being dry, i peeled his lips open , he was about 3 inches long at the time. held him under water for about 20 min so he could build up strength and he did fine, that was 6 years ago, he is still alive and doing well , i use this stuff called aqua-sol in the pond to heal his burned scales. no one ever believes this story , but my daughter saw the whole thing. he is a great fish and a good family member, and has fathered many of my young coi. hope you enjoyed that story, i would put him back in his ouw tank so that he doesnt have to adjust to new water.

Good question! However, I want to make a slight correction since so many people make this mistake. In Florida it is called Disney World, in California it is called Disneyland. Magic Kingdom is the park where you'll find the castle. I'm really not trying to be rude, honestly! I only want you and the others who aren't aware to know the difference.
Now for your question I would definitely take shorts and t-shirts or another type of cool clothing. It is hot in Orlando! We go in December and many are wearing shorts in the afternoon although it's jacket weather both in the morning and at night. Also make certain to wear some good broken in tennis shoes that are comfortable. You'll need them with all the walking. I also carry a first aid kit and hand wipes.
