How would you feel if due to injury or illness you had to have your reproductive organs removed?
Women: If you had your ovaries and uterus – as well as your breasts removed – how would you feel about yourself as a woman?

Men: if you had your penis and your balls removed – how would you feel about yourself as a man?

Ovaries and uterus I could perfectly well do without, seen as I don't want kids. Losing my breasts would kind of suck, I guess.. But I think I would most definitely learn to live with it. (Or without it, rather.. =D)

    4. I had a hysterectomy. I’m glad it’s done, and I’m fine, thank the gods. I feel great! No worries about pregnancy, which is a plus. I had breast cancer years ago, and though I didn’t have a mastectomy, I can tell you that I know women who did, and I feel, as do they, that one’s identity as a woman has very little to do with the obvious physical attributes.

    6. It’s hard to say since it hasn’t happened. But I am at an age that my reproductive organs are no longer useful so losing ovaries and uterus would be fine.
    But losing breasts which are a visual stamp of my femininity would be harder. I never breast fed my children so they had no use as far as biology, but they fill out my clothes and attract male attention. I think that would be tougher to handle at this point, but if it saved my life then take em off!

    8. I can’t speak for the men, but my Mother suffered from breast cancer,which in turn spread to her bladder. She has no reproductive organs left,besides no bladder,now she has a bag that her urine goes into. She at first,which was just last Summer felt like she had been gutted.BUT, SHE IS ALIVE.The loss of everything that you can say makes you a woman doesn’t seem to bother my dad. He is her reinforcement daily. They still hold hands when they walk together,like always.He tells her everyday how beautiful she is.It has ben a very big adjustment on her as a woman but she is glad to be Alive also. She now has a hernia from so many things being removed the lining over her organs left has a major rip i it. She faces another surgery this fall. What she thinks about when she is alone, I don’t know . But She has us who love her Dearly by her side for any doubts about herself at all. The major Player in this though,Like i said is my Father who finds her just as sexy at 69 as he did when they were 16. She was Homecoming Queen way back when she was in high school and my dad still calls her his Queen. It’s what’s in your Heart,not what’s in your pants that make you a sensual,sexy,beautiful human being.

    11. I know some transwomen who deliberately cut their penis and balls off so that the doctors would have to make them into women. The doctors had no choice since the parts were missing for replacing.
