My friends hamster died overnight, it was bleeding for about a day nonstop. It had the same diet for about a year. Is there any illness in a hasmter that can cause internal bleeding?

Most of my hamsters have died from cancer. It's very common.

  8. Parasites, especially round worms can cause bleeding.

Wet tail is another illness which can lead to death. The symptoms are ofcourse diharrea, and the whole back end of the hamster looks wet (well, it is wet) this can lead to bleeding also if the condition is in the latter stages.

  12. Any illness of a hamster has a possibility of leading to death if not treated, since the hamster's body is very fragile. If there are any signs of illnesses, contact a local vet, or exotic pet specialist.

    Some common illnesses include:
    -a Cold
    -Deficiency
    -Intestinal infecton
    -Diarrhea
    -Pneumonia
    -Conjunctivitis
    -Eye inflammation
    -Meningitis
    -Vermin

The only COMMON illness that could cause bleeding is serious injuries.
I apologize that since I am not a vet, I can not diagnose the specific issue here, but if you have any other questions, please feel free to ask anytime! :)
