what do you do if something sharp punctures you under your finger nail and the part under your nail?

a piece of sharp punctured my pinkie finger under my nail and it was bleeding. it didn’t get stuck. what do i do?
it was a piece of wood the punctured my pinkie finger under the nail on my hand.

soak it in warm salt water frequently , put peroxide under the nail and wait it out
