Can sprains give problems in the future?
>I have found this interesting question: I am only 17 and ive sprained my ankle for about 20 times already in both ankles.
The numerous sprains you experienced in your ankles gives you a much higher chance of respraining them and also decrease overall function such as how fast you can run, jump, quick foot work, or any other activity dealing with your ankles.
I strongly recommend that you consult with your medical doctor who can refer you to a physical therapist. You need to strengthen your ligaments, and muscles. You also need rehabilitation to reprogram your brain on how to gain proprioception (balance) and fine motor control over those ankles. Over time, you’ll regain your ability.

you have to give it a good rest…otherwise yes,it will give you problems in future and can effect your run and your jumps…try to put your legs in warm water..and if you ask me dont jump and run until you really feel that your legs are fine..

You sound like you need a healthier diet. Try to work more calcium into it. Also, start working on strengthening your muscles… this will help cushion your joins and protect your bones. Spraining your ankle excessively can lead to future problems… but not as much as getting older well. Enjoy being 17, because you'll wish you could do what you can now when you're 27.

If you take proper care of your ankles now they will have less of a chance to cause major problems. They will most likely never be 100% again but there is ways to train other muscles to compensate the ones that are not as stron anymore. If you take care of them and work hard you will be able to jump and run just the same. Good luck!
