Dog’s broken paw vs dog’s sprained paw
Kitkit asked:

I think my Chinese pug broke her paw but it might be a sprain because it looks like she can put a little weight on it.It is swollen though and kinda just hangs there when she wobbles around.

What is a home remedy for a dog’s sprained or bruised foot or leg?

Dog’s sprained leg.

Action Man asked:

A piece of ice fell off my roof the other day and happened to catch my ten year old golden retriever in the hip/leg. He has been dragging his legs and will not stand up without me lifting up his rear end first. And even then, he only saunters for a max of five feet. With it being directly after the holidays, what is the best thing I can do for him until I have the money to take him into the vet after the new year?

Answer: To answer the seven responses that are, “Take him to the vet”. For one, it’s after business hours right now; I also live one hour from the vet so that’s really a moot point. For two, he’s ten years friggin’ old. That’s seventy in dog years! I am positive he did NOT break his hip, he is NOT in any serious danger of losing his mobility. If he did have a serious break of his hip or foot, he wouldn’t be walking on it at all; even if propped or prodded into it. If anyone of you took a fraction of the time to read through the question as you did preparing your responses, I may have not wasted my time.
